CRATER50 added to Driftless Discovery Trail Run!
Decorah, Iowa – Upgraded routes and a gnarly addition to Decorah’s Driftless Discovery Trail Runs happens June 2nd, 2018 | www.DDTR.us
Do you have a strong desire, craving, or undeniable urge to explore the world running? Satisfy yourself in this series where the best view might just come only after the hardest climb or unnerving descent. It will likely cost you a toll of a little blood, sweat and/or tears when you take on the Crater50 in a portion of the 500-acre, gorgeous terrain surrounding Decorah, Iowa in the 5th annual Driftless Discovery Trail Run, June 2nd, 2018.
New to the series, the Crater50 promises NOT to leave you wanting. If a 50K has you panting from just the thought, step up to the plate of the Meteor 10K or Basin 5K. They are a worthy thrill, a sure notch on the running belts of those up for an adventure. Runners traverse the off-road, single track trails of Van Peenen Memorial Park, Ice Cave Trails and Palisades Park. All these trails are maintained by a dedicated group of volunteers from the Decorah Human Powered Trails. Seriously, of all the paths you might take in life, make sure a few of them are the dirt trails of Decorah. You won’t regret it.
4 distances include a Lunar 1 mile (FREE for 13 and under), the Basin 5K ($30), the Meteor 10K ($40) and the NEW Crater 50K ($75). Proceeds benefit the Northeast Iowa Montessori School, the Decorah Human Powered Trails and the Decorah Park & Rec.
LACE UP & GET LOST, it’s a vacation you don’t have too pay much for.
