Event Details

Seed Savers Exchange will host the 39th Annual
Conference and Campout at Heritage Farm in Decorah, Iowa. This year, as in
years past, we’re offering a full slate of opportunities to connect with fellow
seed savers, including hayrides, a seed swap, a bonfire, a barn dance, and free
lectures from nationally recognized seed and vegetable experts. And, as in
years past, we hope you will join us for this fun-filled weekend (Friday and
Saturday, July 19-20).

Our gardens will be in full bloom so there’s
really no better time to visit Heritage Farm. And when else will you have the
chance to learn, for free, from five individuals with expertise spanning the
seed-saving, gardening, and food world? This year’s speakers include Jill
Bishop, longtime seed saver and owner of the business urbantomato; Joel
Bramhall,director of education at Myriad Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City;
Julie Dawson, assistant professor in the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s
Department of Horticulture and founder of the Seed to Kitchen Collaborative;
Sean Sherman, James Beard Award-winning chef,SSE board member, and owner of the
Sioux Chef; and John Coykendall, seed enthusiast and
Master Gardener at Blackberry Farm in Tennessee.

All lectures and workshops are free of charge,
and meals are available for a small fee. Deadline to purchase meals is July 3rd
but a limited number will be available after this date. To register for this
year’s event, reserve meals, and view the full conference schedule, please
