Dragonfly Books invites everyone to a free ticketed event, an Evening in Conversation with Chris and Emily Norton, on Monday, July 1 at 7:00 p. m. at Carrie Lee Elementary Auditorium in Decorah. Chris and Emily will be discussing their upcoming book The Seven Longest Yards (Zondervan, 2019) . This moderated conversation provides attendees a unique opportunity to hear from Chris and Emily a week before the book is published! This event is hosted by Dragonfly Books, Decorah’s independent bookstore.
Chris Norton won the hearts and admiration of people across the nation with his faith, courage and determination on his inspiring journey from his spinal cord injury playing football as a Luther College freshman in 2010 that left him with only a three percent chance of ever standing again to walking across the graduation stage with fiance Emily at his side in 2015. Chris’s CaringBridge posts demonstrated his remarkable positivity in the face of overwhelming odds, the importance of hope, and the power of prayer, as did the memoir co-authored with his father The Power of Faith When Tragedy Strikes.
This current book continues their uplifting story of partnership and faith in God which have continued to guide them through his ongoing physical challenges and her battle with depression and anxiety to their next walk together down the wedding aisle and into their new life after welcoming 5 adopted girls and 17 foster children into their home and hearts.
