Event Details

The public is invited to hear speaker Jen Sand Canales, a Climate Reality Leader trained by former Vice President Al Gore, present on the current climate issues facing our world and how each of us can take action. She will be at the Decorah Public Library meeting room (downstairs). Come early for baked goods and coffee.

The Climate Reality Project is a non-profit bi-partisan organization involved in education and advocacy related to climate change. The Climate Reality Project came into being in July 2011 as the consolidation of two environmental groups, the Alliance for Climate Protection and the Climate Project, both of which were founded by Al Gore. Among its activities, the Climate Reality Project hosts an annual event called 24 Hours of Reality and, in 2013, launched Reality Drop, a social media tool. There are over 80 chapters across the United States, it operates 10 branches worldwide and is active in over 30 countries.
