As they prepare for a new season of art classes and gallery shows, ArtHaus in Decorah is hosting a fundraiser ‘Creators, Crayons, & Cabernet,’ with a wine and beer pull, a children’s bag pull, outdoor activities and a first look at their completed mural from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at their location: 107 West Broadway in Decorah.
This event as well as the reception is open to the public. Tickets will be available onsite at $2 per children’s prize pull and at a minimum $20 per wine and beer pull on the day of the event. Scheduled appointments to enter the store for the beverage and children’s pull will be available via SignUp Genius: https://tinyurl.com/winepullarthaus. Masks will be required to enter the ArtHaus building.
For this event, ArtHaus is raising funds to supplement its services to the community, including art class scholarship funds and artist gallery shows. After ArtHaus collects beer or wine from a variety of donors, prices, and types; each item will be wrapped in brown paper to masquerade its brand. Children have the opportunity to pull from a separate collection of wrapped art supplies and party favors. Outside the building, individuals will be able to partake in free art opportunities and explore the newly-completed mural by local artist Mathew Havran.
ArtHaus provides opportunities for people of all ages and skill sets through collaborating with students and teachers with their in-person and remote art classes, allowing patrons to individually create in their open studio and ceramic cafe, and supporting local artists through their gallery and maker’s market.
