This climate strike is in tandem with thousands happening across the world on September 20–but we have a northeast Iowa twist:
Here in the Driftless, we know we don’t need to wait around for national political action on climate; we have fertile soil, a biodiverse ecosystem, and connected, resilient communities. While we do need those in political power to make massive changes to our political and economic structures, we also know that we have power in our own lives and ways of relating to life on this planet. So: let’s have a potluck, on a regenerative farm, and engage in conversation about local resilience to climate chaos.
1. Carpool to the farm (2741 Hidden Falls Road)! 2. Bring potluck food to share! 3. If you’d like to have either a pastured pork bratwurst or a grass-fed lamb burger cooked for you, RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org and bring along $3-$5 to chip in for the raising of the regenerative meat!
(Friday) 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
