Join us for a FREE MEAL and a community walk on Wed May 1st. This spring celebration is being held in conjunction with Screen-Free Week, an annual event where children, families, schools, and communities are encouraged to rediscover the joys of life beyond the screen!

4:45-5:15-Appetizers at Carrie Lee Elementary School Park
5:15- Walk to John Cline Elementary School
5:30-6:15-Walking Tacos at John Cline School Park
6:15-Walk to Decorah Public Library
6:30-Dessert at the Library
*Families are welcome to walk ahead of schedule if needed.
*Water will be available at each location; please bring your own water bottle or cup.

The event is open to the public thanks to the following partners: Upper Explorerland Regional Planning Commission (UERPC), Northeast Iowa Food & Fitness Initiative, Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Decorah group, Decorah Public Library, Decorah Community School District, the Luther College Women’s Basketball Team, and Green Iowa AmeriCorps. Many local donors contributed food and supplies and will be recognized at the event.
