Natural Resource Specialist and Conservation Planner

Northeast Iowa RC&D is seeking a passionate, self-starter whose interests align with agronomy, natural resource conservation and systems planning.  The Natural Resource Specialist and Conservation Planner will be responsible for working alongside soil and water conservation districts to expand the region’s current programming and have the ability to work with landowners and other private and public project partners to initiate conservation planning.

The position will offer the candidate the opportunity to be part of innovative conservation activities within the region and the State and meaningful agronomic/conservation experience.   The candidate will be expected to work in the field, work collaboratively with a diverse set of partners and co-workers and be able to articulate information both verbally and written. Tasks will include rigorous outdoor activity including overnight travel during the summer months, technical reporting, meeting facilitation, and strong written and verbal skills.

This is a temporary, full-time position with significant potential for future growth and longevity that may be tailored towards the candidate’s specific area of interest/expertise.  A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Competitive salary and benefits.
