Assisted Living Attendant

The Assisted Living Attendant is a Multi-faceted job which includes, but is not limited to: duties related to housekeeping, dietary, and laundry; assisting residents with activities of daily living; facility security; responding to emergencies; documentation; communicating effectively with coworkers; performing duties under supervision of Social Worker and AL Nurse; answering the phone; abiding by HIPAA guidelines; assisting families and visitors; and adhering to safety policies and procedures.

Assisted Living Attendants must also complete online courses for State Required In-services; the Medication Attendant Course and CPR Courses, these courses are all assigned upon hire.

A desire to help others. Knowledge of cleaning materials, methods, equipment, and procedures. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to remain calm in emergency situations. Understanding and practice of good ethical conduct and confidentiality of resident and facility information. Excellent written communication skills. Ability to work with and for others. A mature and positive attitude.
