Decorah Parks & Recreation and the Iowa DNR are hosting a fishing day beginning at 9:00am at Twin Springs Pond. This event is free and is geared for children ages 12 and under (ages 8 & under must be accompanied by an adult). Children should bring their own poles and bait (worms). Only a very limited amount of equipment and bait will be provided. This event is part of Free Fishing Weekend (fishing license is not needed for Iowa residents from June 2-4). No need to register, just show up!

For ages 8 years and under, join us Sunday, April 2, beginning promptly at 3:00 pm, at the Will Baker Athletic Fields. Children find plastic eggs filled with candy or prizes and all egg hunters receive participation gifts at the close of the Hunt.  The Easter Bunny will also be there so bring your cameras!

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 8

Leagues run Saturday mornings, April 1 thru May 13, at Will Baker Athletic Fields. Pee Wee Coed will begin Saturday April 22 thru May 13.

All players will be required to wear shin guards which Park-Rec. provides at the fields. Players are asked to pick up their schedule and team shirt at the Park-Rec. Office on Thursday, March 30.

PARENTS: Two volunteer coaches are needed for each team. Park-Rec. staff will also assist with this program.

The Decorah Farmers Market is the best place to find local food and goods from Northeast Iowa’s small producers and artisans.

The outdoor market takes place May through October on Wednesday afternoons from 3PM to 6PM and Saturday mornings from 8AM to 11AM\, in the lower Oneota Community Co-op parking lot.

Our vendors accept a number of easy and convenient payment methods including cash and checks\, with many vendors now able to accept credit cards.  Many vendors participate in the Winneshiek Medical Center Farmers Market Senior Nutrition Program\, the Decorah Food Pantry Coupon program\, SNAP\, and Double Up Food Bucks.  We also have an EBT and debit card terminal available.

The Decorah Farmers Market hosts a live musician every Saturday from 9AM – 11AM.
