Event Details

Come to the Luther campus for a nonpartisan candidate forum. The Center for Ethics and Public Engagement (The CEPE, pronounced “The Keep”) has invited all candidates on the ballot in Decorah, from city through national offices, to participate. The forum will start with each candidate making an opening statement about their values and priorities. Then we will move to a moderated format that will include prepared questions and audience-submitted questions that each candidate will have a chance to answer. Our aim is to provide a space for constituents and candidates to communicate. This informs voters. It also informs candidates about what is important to the people they are running to represent. To be clear, this forum is not a debate. Two weeks before the event, we will update this event listing with the roster of candidates who have agreed to participate.
