Event Details

Join us for the Chamber’s last Community Connection Luncheon of 2024 on Wednesday, November 8th which features The Porter House Museum’s new Museum Manager John Reynolds.

The Porter House Museum – former Decorah home of of Adelbert Field Porter and Grace Young Porter – is most often noted as a visitor destination because of its unusual and iconic “grotto-style” rock & fossil wall built by Adelbert in the 1940s. Today, the museum offers tours, special programs, charming concerts, and history presentations. Reynolds will share about the museum, what he finds most intriguing about the property, and his plans for the future of this 1867 home located in the heart of Decorah’s Broadway-Phelps Park Historic District.

This luncheon is held at and catered by Rubaiyat Restaurant. This is a ticketed event that starts promptly at Noon. A plated lunch will be served to attendees. Doors open at 11:50am. Chamber Member Ticket Price for Lunch is $10. Non Chamber Member Ticket Price for Lunch is $15.
