Be the talk of the lake with these new cocktails from Emily Vikre of Vikre Distillery. Emily will give tips and tricks to help make the perfect cocktail to enjoy your time away at the cabin. Be prepared to concoct delicious cocktails that will make you never want to go back home.

This Vesterheim cooking class is designed as a small-group cook-along, and we invite exchange between the instructor and students in order to build community around food traditions. In this same spirit of sharing, we invite the whole family to experience this collaborative cooking and learning process. Only one registration is needed per household.

Emily Vikre is the co-founder and CEO of Vikre Distillery in Duluth, Minnesota, makers of award-winning aquavits and gins among other spirits. She is also the author of Camp Cocktails – easy, fun, and delicious drinks for the great outdoors. As a Norwegian and American dual citizen, Emily has always been steeped in the culture and cuisine of Scandinavia. Her favorite activities are sharing meals with friends, cross-country skiing, dancing ballet, and painting. She lives in Duluth, Minnesota, with her husband, two young sons, and a dog named Squid.
