Join Holly Moore and the Philosophy Department for a BYO lunch conversation on “How an Odyssey Created the Greeks.” This summer’s release of The Odyssey has brought renewed attention to this classical Greek epic and the civilization that it depicts. Following up on her article in last Spring’s Agora, Prof. Moore will discuss the ways that women and girls are used as vehicles for explaining the origin of an expedition whose telling and retelling defined the Greeks as Greek.
