Decorah Public Library is thrilled to announce a creative partnership with Jen Opheim, the talented owner, grower, and floral designer at Bloom Flower Farm. Together, they will be hosting an intergenerational Flower Crown Workshop on May 7 at 7:00 PM at Pulpit Rock Brewery.
This unique workshop will guide caregivers and kids through the process of making flower crowns. Jen Opheim, known for her passion for art, photography, and design, draws inspiration from nature to create stunning floral and plant arrangements.

Decorah Public Library invites individuals of all skill levels to join in this hands-on experience. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a beginner looking to explore your creative side, this workshop promises to be both educational and fun. We recommend this program for kids ages 8 and up.

A DPL staff photographer will be present to take professional portraits of you and your loved ones in your completed flower crowns, just in time for Mother’s Day.

Space for this workshop is limited, and pre-registration is required at: https://www.decorahlibrary.org/event-directory/mothers-day-flower-crowns

This workshop is free to attend, but participants are encouraged to make a $20 free will donation to cover the cost of supplies.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to celebrate the arrival of spring with a touch of DIY creativity. Join us for an evening of crafting, camaraderie, and creativity at Pulpit Rock Brewery on May 9th at 7:00 PM.
