Activity Assistant

Pay: $15.00 – $19.00 per hour

Job description:

Performs duties involving the implementation of an activity program, needs and interests of residents. They may provide programs to increase socialization, provide entertainment, promote physical activity, education and other cognitively stimulating programs for residents based on their needs. Reports to the Activity Director

Responsibilities:

– Coordinate and participate in events for residents

– Collaborate with the care team to ensure the well-being of Residents

– Spend One-on-One time with Resident

– Assist Nursing staff with making Resident Beds; Passing Beverages and Snacks; Pass and folding linens.

Skills:

– Experience in caring for seniors in nursing home settings preferred, but not required

– Willingness to learn care techniques and strategies in memory care (i.e. Dementia/Alzheimer)

– Ability to assist in planning and executing engaging events for residents
