Church Engagement Coordinator

Are you passionate about building community and helping people grow in their faith? Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Decorah, Iowa, is seeking a dedicated, energetic Church Engagement Coordinator to join our ministry team and help our congregation thrive.

In this vital role, you will be the bridge that connects visitors, new members, and long-time members to the life of our church. You will oversee our guest welcome experience; coordinate volunteer teams; assist with children, youth, and college ministry; and help individuals find their perfect fit in small groups and in service to one another.

Key areas of responsibilities include hospitality and outreach, volunteer recruitment and support, administrative tasks and committee support, children and youth ministry, college ministry, and worship.

We’re looking for a strong collaborator and team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a natural ability to connect with diverse groups and individuals.

This is a 26-34 hour-per-week position, depending on the qualifications and fit of the person selected for the position. The Church Engagement Coordinator will be paid on a salary basis of $35,000-$40,000 per year commensurate with qualifications and agreed upon work responsibilities. The Coordinator may or may not be eligible for benefits depending on qualifications and agreed upon work responsibilities.
