The Spectrum Network is hiring a Full-time Job Developer/Job Coach.  Building relationships with local businesses, networking with professionals in the community, and providing comprehensive employment services to person with intellectual disabilities.  Contacting businesses and HR professionals that could be potential positions that are of interest to the client.  Provide assessment, job placement, and retention services to a broad range of persons with disabilities.

Essential Functions:

Client Recruitment/Referral: Responsible for contacting and requesting referrals from potential participants, Case Managers, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, parents, residential providers, and other potential referral sources in order to meet program and caseload enrollment goals.

Program Orientation: Responsible for the explanation of program design and initial paperwork.  Obtain signatures and provide clients and involved others with a copy of all paperwork.  Has final responsibility for the completion and review of all documents filed in the client file.

Assessment: Conduct initial discussions with the participant, and/or family and other support persons as appropriate, concerning his/her education, work history, interests, abilities, and other relevant factors in order to assess employability, education, needs, desires, and abilities.

Individual Service Plan (ISP): Work with the participant and relevant support persons to develop a plan including reasonable goals, barriers, education, work experience, training, job coaching, skill development, job placement, pre-employment training, employer tours, volunteer opportunities, transportation training, and life skills.  Update plans.

Other Functions: Job Development/Job Placement, Placement Negotiations, Employment Readiness Training, Job Coaching, Retention Services, Reports, Client File Maintenance, Travel within Winneshiek and Howard County. Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate: works well under pressure, is able to meet multiple and conflicting guidelines,  is a professional representative of The Spectrum Network.  Must be computer literate and able to provide accurate electronic documentation.

Education: Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Requirements:

Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and a valid car insurance.

Must be able to clear a background check.

Daily availability of a personal vehicle
