Lunch Backwait

La Rana Bistro is a small, locally owned restaurant in downtown Decorah with a seasonal menu that highlights local produce, scratch-made dishes, and craft cocktails. We are open for lunch and dinner, Tuesday through Saturday.

We are seeking a dedicated Backwait to join our team. As a Backwait, you will play a crucial role in supporting the front of house staff and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

– Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to guests promptly

– Clear/buss tables efficiently and reset them for the next diners

– Wash and restock dishes and glassware

– Refill water glasses and attend to guest needs promptly

– Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders

– Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area

-Answer phone calls and take reservations

Requirements:

– Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred

– Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

– Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach

– Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively

– Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
